Our Mission
Education for All
Ponka Foundation believes that every child has the right to affordable, high-quality education. We support Ponka Academy, a school which provides education for over 350 students in grades K-12.
Community Empowerment
Ponka Foundation supports numerous initiatives that empower the local community and engage in collaboration, public outreach, and advocacy. We believe that self-sustaining communities are stronger, more resilient, and foster new economic opportunities.
Nutritional Assistance
Ponka Foundation believes that access to nutrition is a basic human right. We support organizations around Sierra Leone whose programs aim to treat and prevent childhood malnutrition, and who provide nutritional support and education for mothers.

About Us
Ponka Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities in Sierra Leone through funding initiatives for better education, healthcare & nutrition, and community development all with the goal of promoting long-term self-sustenance. The origins of the Ponka Foundation stem from a collective vision to rebuild and uplift communities affected by conflict in west Africa, especially Sierra Leone’s civil war. We focus on fostering a collective sense of responsibility and pride, ensuring that the future of Ponka and surrounding villages is built by the hands of those who have always called it home.

Our Projects
At Ponka Foundation, we are committed to driving change through funding impactful projects that uplift and empower the community. From providing quality education at Ponka Academy to launching community agriculture programs, to creating a safe haven for unhoused children, our initiatives focus on creating stronger communities and a brighter future for all. Join us in making a lasting difference.
